Dr. T. Peter Park is a historian, retired librarian, and freelance researcher & writer interested in Fortean anomalies, philosophy, linguistics, sociology, and intellectual & cultural history. He was born in Estonia, holds a Ph.D. in Modern European History from the University of Virginia (1970), and retired  in 1997 as Reference Librarian from the Lynbrook Public Library in Lynbrook, NY.  He has published articles on Fortean phenomena, on the 19th century British social critics John Stuart Mill and Thomas Carlyle, and on Estonian history, culture, and politics in various publications in the United States and abroad, and contributed several articles to a Carlyle Encyclopedia published in 2004 by Fairleigh Dickinson University Press. Many of his Fortean articles have appeared in The Anomalist. 

He is the co-founder and listowner of
mythfolk@yahoogroups.com, an on-line forum for exploring the intersection of mythology and folklore with history, archaeology, modern imaginative literature, and Forteana. He spoken on "Little Men, Frog-Men, and Mini-Men" at the November 2004 Bordentown UFO/ET Congress. 

Dr. Park's main current Fortean interests are in the pre-1947 "prehistory" of the UFO phenomenon, anomalous humanoids, and "hairy hominids." He finds cultural attitudes toward anomalous phenomena as intriguing as the phenomena themselves.
